Mildred Alice Hughes

Mildred Alice Hughes, age 90, of Ten Mile, TN went home to be with the Lord Monday, June 6, 2011. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at Ten Mile. She was preceded in death by her husband Claude Hughes; her father, James McElhaney; her mother, Bessie Leffew McElhaney; one son, J. C. Hughes; one daughter, Dorthy Hughes; one grandson, Joseph Hughes; two brothers; and five sisters She is survived by three sons, Wayne and wife Pam Hughes, Larry Hughes, Nathan Hughes; one daughter, Joann Miller; one daughter-in-law, Judy Hughes; four brothers, Kenny McElhaney, Samuel McElhaney, Robert "Boyd" McElhaney, Lester and wife Tom McElhaney; two sisters, Betty and husband Robert West, Lennie and husband Hugene West; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2011 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at Ten Mile with the Rev. Curtis Porter officiating. Interment will be held Friday after the funeral in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Ten Mile, TN. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the funeral home.
