Michael Thomas Shelton

Michael Thomas Shelton, 51, of Decatur, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Aug. 2 at Erlanger Medical Center, Chattanooga, TN. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. Michael was a former truck driver and was a member of the Local Teamsters Union 519. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Shelton and mother, Lena "Viola" Roberts Shelton; sister, Shirley McCumber. Survivors include his wife, Angie Robinson Shelton, of Decatur; brother, Ricky Shelton (Tracie), of Florida; several nieces and nephews; many friends. The funeral service will be held 8 pm Wednesday, August 5 in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with bro. Allen Bowers officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Roberts Cemetery, of Ten Mile, 11 am Thursday.
