Michael Anthony Shaver

Michael Anthony Shaver, 49, of Decatur, passed away on Wednesday 11-25-2015 surrounded by his loving family.

Michael was an avid fan of the Meigs Co. Tigers and the Tennessee Vols. He was extremely proud of his beautiful daughter Tina and his two sons who served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was loved by many friends and family who enjoyed his stories and his ability to always make you smile.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Beary and Della Bennett; father, Richard N. Shaver; brother, Beary Steven Shaver.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Katherine Bennett Shaver; two sons, Michael Anthony Shaver II and Colton Rose and his wife Bridget,; one daughter, Christina Dawn and her husband Josh Evans, all of Decatur; two grandchildren, Landon and Maci; two brothers, Richard Norman Shaver Jr. and his wife Tracy, of Min, Scott Edward Shaver and his wife Karen, of Decatur; two sisters, Linda Robin Samuels and Barbara Rebecca and husband Velt Harris, all of Decatur; special niece Alice Shaver and special nephew Jackson Shaver.

The family will receive friends from 11-2 pm, Saturday, 11-28-15 at the funeral home.

The funeral will be held a 2 pm Saturday in the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with Pastor Jamey Davis officiating.

Interment will be in Beta Cemetery.
