Michael Eugene "Mike" "Bubba" Ricker

Michael Eugene “Mike” “Bubba” Ricker, age 60, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Starr Regional Medical Center, Athens. He retired from the Cleveland Police Department and was currently working at the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office, with 38 years of service. He was an avid golfer and Meigs County Tigers fan. He was a member of the Blue Knights. He is preceded in death by his parents: Jimmy and Nancy Ricker; mother and father-in-law: Jerome and Joyce Blevens; brothers: Lonnie David Ricker, Oscar Ricker; sister: Teresa Lynn Ricker. He is survived by his wife of 44 years: Cheryl Blevens Ricker; daughters: Dana Moore (Roger “dawg”), Kaci Ricker; siblings: Johnny Ray Ricker (Esther), Robert Ricker (Joyce), Eddie Dean Ricker (Saber), Bertie Burns, Betty June Blankenship; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the Walnut Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Earl Graves and the Rev. Curtis Walden officiating. Family will receive friends from 5-8 on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
