Mellie Ruth Miller

Mellie R. Miller, age 55, of Decatur, TN, went to be with the Lord Friday, January 21, 2011 at her residence. She was a member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garrett Daley and Rena Belle (Wilson) Brown; one brother James Brown. She is survived by her husband of 38 years David Miller of Decatur, TN; one son David "Keith" Miller of Decatur, TN; one daughter Heather Renee and Jimmy Roberts of Decatur, TN; two brothers and sister-in-laws, Donald and Dicy Brown of Spring City, TN, Kenneth and Diane Brown of Sparta, TN; four sisters and brother-in-laws, Bernice and Bob Erwin of Chattanooga, TN, Mary Sue and Ronnie McDermitt of Mt. Juliet, TN, Martha and Lou Lansford of Oak Ridge, TN, Margaret and Russell Fish of Decatur, TN; four grandchildren, Cheyenne and Summer Roberts, Noah and Preston Miller; special friend Shelly Miller of Decatur, TN; and a host of good friends. Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m., Monday, January 24, 2011 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Rymer officiating. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 25, 2011 in Mountain View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 - 8 p.m., Monday, January 24 2011 at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Rusty Fish, Stacy Wright, Eddie Miller, Charlie Miller, Bart Lunsford, Scott McCosh. Honorary pallbearers: Members of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
