Mary Todd

Mary Catherine Hardin Thompson Todd, age 79, of Sweetwater, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

She was a daughter of the late Charles and Marie Hardin of Calhoun. She was a member of Glenlock Baptist Church in Sweetwater.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Anderson Todd; daughter, Deborah Thompson; sisters, Nina (Windom) Lunsford, Norma Jean (Don) Hudson, Freda (Ed) Cannon, Dois Faye (Benny) Bowman; brothers, Richard (Barbara) Hardin, Joe (Alice) Hardin; several nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara (Hershal) Elkins; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., on Friday, January 23, 2026 in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Lon Shoopman officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Calhoun.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m., prior to the service.
