Mary Tarver

Mary Ruth Cook Tarver, 81 of Decatur joined her husband Hollis Tarver in Heaven on January 6, 2017. Proceeded in death were her parents Dessie Rector Cook and Arvil Cook Sr.. Sister Betty Jo Gifford and infant sister Shelia Ann Cook. Brothers; Arvil Cook Jr. and Kenneth Cook.

Survivors are her faithful companion (her dog) Lucy. Sisters, Denise (Dean) Erwin of Calhoun, TN, and Jane Cook of Harrison, TN. Brothers Bobby (Patricia) Underwood of Chickamauga, GA, Jeff Cook and fianc Tabitha Fritts of Chattanooga, TN, and Benny Cook of Harrison, TN and Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 9, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Reverend Bill Pearman officiating.
