Mary Evelyn Shaw Taylor

Mary Evelyn Taylor, age 86, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, while with her family in Kerrville, TX. Mary was a native of the Chattanooga area and had lived in Decatur for over 40 years. She was the daughter of the late Roland and Ruby Shaw of Decatur. She was preceded in death by her husband James E Taylor; two daughters, Robbie Dodd and Deborah Taylor; one son, Robert Smiley. Survivors include sister and brother-in-law, June and Robert Hixson of Graysville, TN; two sons, James E Taylor Jr. of Wasilla, AK, and Robert J Taylor of Kerrville, TX.; one daughter, Sandra Allen of Kerrville, TX.;13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
