Mary Frances (Hilliard) Scott

The world lost a beloved wife and mother: Mary Frances (Hilliard) Scott on Friday, August 6, 2021, surrounded by her husband and daughter at her home. She will be remembered as an animal lover of all kinds and enjoyed watching her hummingbirds on the front porch of her home with her family. She was preceded in death by her Mother and Father: Nell Marie and Vernon Hilliard of Cleveland, Mother In-Law and Father In-Law: Una and Roy Scott of Decatur, Brother In-Laws: James Lake Kimsey of Cleveland and George Wayne Scott of Decatur. She is survived by her sisters: Betty Maxine Kimsey and Patricia Ann Hilliard of Cleveland, Sister In-Laws: Ann Fisher and Joyce (Jim) Allen, Brother In-Law: John Scott, Nieces: Cynthia Darlene Brooks, Jordan (Buddy) Scott Suttles, Lynnsey Scott Appelhans and Andrea (Roger) Holliday, Nephews: Chris (Jeannie) Fisher, Tim (Shan) Fisher, Daniel (Misty) Allen and JT (Katie) Allen. She leaves to cherish loving memories to her husband of 50 years: Roy Edwin Scott, daughter and son in-law: Jennifer and Jacob Grammer of Decatur. The family would like to thank for all the love and support from their special friends: Don and Barbara Tallent, Eddie and Debbie Walden of Decatur. A special thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga and Starr Regional Medical Center for all the care and compassion that they have shown the family at this time of need. No formal services will be held. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in honor of Mary Scott to the Alzheimer’s Society.
