Mary Jane Keaton Bowman

June 24, 1939 — June 18, 2024

Mary Jane Keaton Bowman, age 84, of Ten Mile, went to be with Jesus on June 18, 2024 a little after 10 a.m., surrounded by her loving family.

On Saturday, June 24, 1939, in Maysville, Kentucky, Earl David and Mary Dee Hitch Keaton welcomed their 3 1/2-pound baby girl into this world. She was a sickly child, but she had determination from the get-go.

One of her first jobs was collecting worms for a few cents a pound on a golf course, to get money to go to the movies or sneak in where she grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. She worked hard all her life. She was a member of Decatur Church of God for 24 years. She loved God, Family, all her dear friends, and Church family, those were the things she lived for. She loved to teach children about Jesus, cross stich, work puzzles, camp, do crafts, and help out anywhere she could. She never met a stranger. If you knew Mary she loved to talk. She loved to tell others what Jesus did for her. She was a devoted and loving wife and a wonderful mother.

She is preceded in death by her father: Earl David Keaton; Mother: Mary Dee Hitch Keaton; stepmom: Edna Keaton; sisters: Bonnie Jean Flood, Nellie Bell Angel, Helen Edna Norman, Joyce May Looney; brother: Johnny David Keaton.

She is Survived by her husband of 59 years: Clinton A. Bowman, her children: Shannon (Rodney) Hall, Les Bowman; 4 Grandchildren :Benjamin Hall, Zachary Hall (Stefanie Bridges), Elizabeth Hall, Kayleigh Bowman (Cory Birk); 12 Great Grandchildren: Raven Hall, Odin Hall, Zayne Hall, Arielle Hill, Quentin Hill, Zeke Hall , Isaiah Hall, Azriah Hall, Hezakieh Hall , Genisis Hall, Mason Herford , and Aizlin Carver.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.- 1p.m., prior to the service.
