Mary Smith Glass

Mary S. Glass, age 89, of Decatur, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct.31, 2012 in the Athens Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Willa (Pate) Smith; 2 husbands, George W. Parker and Kenneth Glass; 2 brothers, Seymore Smith and Emmitt Smith; 2 sisters Claudia Nix and ; step-son Bow Parker; step daughter-in-law, Patty Parker. Survivors 2 step sons and one step daughter-in-law, Bobby B and Janice Parker of Pikeville, TN, Oscar (Benson) Parker of Bushnell, FA; one daughter, Janice Q. Johnson of Decatur; 11 Grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, Nov. 3, at Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hugh Bryan officiating. Interment will follow the service at Walnut Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 pm, Friday, Nov. 2 at the funeral home.
