Mary Elizabeth Fitch Davis

Mary Elizabeth Davis, age 98, of Decatur, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Starr Regional Nursing Home in Etowah. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Decatur and FCE for many years. She was an avid quilter, which she received many awards for. She is preceded in death by her parents; William and Della Odom Fitch, husband; Jess H. Davis, Jr., sisters; Ruby Nell Fitch, Flora Lee Fitch, special grandson; Thomas W. Nelson. She is survived by her daughter: Carolyn Nelson (Larry) of Decatur; grandchild: Amy Nelson Garrigan (John); granddaughter-in-law: Autumn Nelson; great grandchildren: Abi, Thomas, and William Garrigan, Riley and Rhiannon Nelson; cousins and other extended family. A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
