Marlin D. Brown, 53, died March 26, 2016, unexpectedly from a stroke. He was loved and will be missed by family and friends. He was a very hard worker, working at Mohawk for over 10 years and delivering newspapers for the Chattanooga Times Free Press. He was a graduate of Tyner High School in 1981 and served in the United States Army for four years.
Marlin was a Tennessee Volunteer from the day he was born. He loved to read and watch NCIS and was an avid shopper at yard sales and estate sales. He also worked with his Dad on Thursdays and Fridays for the past ten years mowing lawns.
Marlin is survived by his parents, Joe and Sandy Brown; his fiance Jackie Jennings and her daughter Emily; his children Michael Scott and Alyssa; step daughter Ashley Nakajima (Daisaku) and grandchildren Maia and Owen. He had four siblings, his twin brother, Mike (Tami) and their children, Jeffrey (Lauren), Jacob, Molly, Graym and Mike's two grandchildren Jasper and Karsten from Douglasville, GA. Brother, Curtis (Marsha) and their children Chris, Eric (Holly), Haley, and Curt's grandchildren, Taylor, Dylon, Ethan, Nathan and Emily from South Carolina and Rossville, GA. Brother, Ronnie (Marti) and their children Rachel, Stephen, Nathan (Missy), Ian (Korin), and Ronnie's grandchildren Johnny, Jackson, Maxwell, Noah, and baby Milly from Chattanooga. Sister, Diana Hall and her children Michael (Debbie), Ami, Britni (Josh) and Diana's grandsons Aaron and Gage from Ringgold and Chattanooga. He will also be missed by several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Memorial service will be held at Silverdale Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 7407 Bonny Oaks Drive, Chattanooga, Tennessee on Tuesday March 29, 2016 at 6:30 PM. Marlin will be interred at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
