Mark Todd Jones, Sr.

Mark Todd Jones, Sr., age 58, a native of Rome, GA and a resident of Decatur for the past 15 years, passed away at his residence on Thursday, October 24, 2019.

Mark was a son of the late Thomas Jones and Frances Roland and is preceded in death by his brother Joey Ortiz, an sister Melissa Pritt, and nieces Brook Jones and Krystal Tucker. Mark was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, and avid Atlanta Falcons fan.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 40 years, Rita Jones of Decatur, children MarkTodd Jones, Jr. and Jennifer of Athens, Adam Jones, Sr and Nancy of Cookeville, Luke Jones and Jessica of Decatur, Rachel Jones and Derek of Decatur, two very special grandchildren Destanie Jones and Emma Jones, as well as other precious grandchildren, Preston, Christopher, Kyle, Jazzmyne, Coby, Adam Jr., Isaac, Rainie, Austin, Luke, Landon, and Caroline Jones. His siblings Tommy and Shelia Jones of Rome, GA, April and Wayne Lance of Alabama, Danny Jones of Rome, GA, Tammy Jones of Bristol, TN, "Big" Tommy Jones of Rome, GA, mother-in-law and father-in-law Rita Morris and Gary Mosher, a special sister-in-law Mary Monroe, brother-in-law Jeffery Mosher, a very special friend Junior Ford, several nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Bowers funeral home at 4 PM Monday October 28, 2019 with the Reverend Herman Jordon officiating. Burial will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery with Mark Jones, Jr., Frank Duncan, Jake Monroe, Terry Hester, Christopher Jones, Preston Jones, Rusty Espy, and Brandon Brown serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 at the funeral home Sunday, October 27, 2019.
