Margaret Ann Moore

Margaret A. Moore, 68, of Decatur went home to be with the Lord Friday Sep. 10, 2015, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. She attended Union Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John D. and Lottie (Shannon) Hicks, Sr., brother John "Nig" Hicks, Jr., sisters, Mary Moore, Dean Stafford, Vina Melton; infant son Jimmy Dean Millsaps. She was a living wife and loving mother. She is survived by husband of 28 years, Charlie Moore, of Decatur, TN; daughter JoAnn McConkey and finance Shaun Godsey of Decatur, step daughter Diane Barkley of GA; brother Frank and Alma Hicks of Decatur; sisters, Bonnie Barker, Linda and Carl Williams, Betty Stafford, all of Cleveland, Joyce Haley of West Memphis, Arkansas; 4 step grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews she loved dearly. She is going to be missed by everyone who knew her. Her daughters dog, Lee Loo, who she loved to spoil. A funeral service will be Sunday at 1 pm in the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Bowers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 11 am until 1 pm. Interment will be in Beta Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jackie Moore, Jackie Lamb, Jonathon Moore, Greg Hicks, Cody Moore, Mike Irwin. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donation to Bowers Funeral Home to help with expenses.
