Mae Bryant

Mae Bryant, 86, of Ten Mile went to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Born on Feb. 15, 1927, Mae was a member of Watts Bar Church of God and was the daughter of the late Richard and Addie Barker Stephens. She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Carl "Peanut" Bryant; sisters, Mary Waters, Myrtle McMahan, Maude Eisenhower; brothers, Robert, Max and Tom Stephens; daughter-in-law Norma Bryant. She is survived by her children, David (Wanda) Bryant, of Decatur, Ronnie (Peggy) Bryant, of Ooltewah, Pam (Kenneth) Simons, of Cleveland, and Cathy (Donnie) Smith, of SC; her grandchildren, Heather (Steve) McClure, Paula Charles, Shannon Bryant, Allison (Jeff) Thompson, Heath (Rachel) Smith, Jennifer Hughes and friend Patrick, Tyler (Carrie) Simons and ten great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tyler Simons, Jeff Thompson, Heath Smith, Steve McClure, Bryson Bayles, Sam Inman. The family will receive friends Friday June 21, 2013 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Friday with Rev. Connie Goins and Rev. Kelly Goins officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Twin Eagle Cemetery in Ten Mile.
