Lynda Sue Masters

Lynda Sue Higgins Masters, 72, of Decatur, TN passed away after a lengthy illness on Dec 3, 2014. A native Chattanoogan, she lived in Decatur, TN since 1987 . She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church, was the youth choir director and played piano for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Coy W. and Bertha Higgins; her in-laws, 3 sisters, June Stephens, Norma Weller and Margaret Griffith: one brother, Arthur Higgins. She is survived by her husband , Jerald Masters; 3 children, Melinda (Stan) Russell, Sharmon (Randy) Hardin, and Sam Masters; grandchildren, Ben Hardin, Rebecca (Chuckie) Fischer, Ash (Julio) Robinson, Chad (Megan) Robinson, Sara (Leo) Hilzendeger, Sean Masters, and Victoria Masters; 8 great- grandchildren, Connor, Luka, Mac, Tristan, Levi, Jett, Madison, and Noah; brothers, Earl (Donna) Higgins, and Charles "Chuck" (Donna) Higgins; sisters, Betty Gann, of Soddy Daisy, TN, Joyce Millerand Judy (Ricky) May. Funeral service will be held at 8 pm, Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Pearman and Rev. Chuck Higgins officiating. Interment will be in the Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Monday at 11am. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm, Sunday at the funeral home.
