Love Delaney

Love Lorene Hackler Delaney, age 78, of Georgetown, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025.

She was a daughter of the late George and Rosetta Hackler. She was a member of Decatur Church of God and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by sisters; Maxine and Ruth Fitzpatrick, Louise Sherrill, Margie Lowe; brothers: Sam and George Hackler.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 58 years: David Delaney; children: David (Catherine) Delaney Jr., Johnny Delaney, Donia (Tim) Rowe, Clayton (Lorna) Delaney; 10 grandchildren; siblings: Alene Kidd, Nanny Cummings, Geneva Miller, Janie Donley, James Hackler; other extended family and a host of friends.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2025, in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Frank Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Johnson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 - 3 p.m., prior to the service.
