Lorraine Holzer

Lorraine Holzer, 74, of Decatur, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday Sept. 30, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Elsie Legenski ; sister, Virginia Zarnstroff. Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Jerry Holzer, of Decatur; 1 son, David Holzer and wife Marilyn, of Denham Spring, Louisiana; 3 daughters, Debra Schmidt and husband Jim, of Madison, Wisconsin, Deanna Mathiak and husband David, of Lusaka, Zambia, Dawn Ward and husband Richard, of Cleveland, TN; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Smith and husband Chris, Ethan Mathiak, Michael Ward; 1 sister, Bea Courtney, of Cameron, NC; and her beloved dog , Kate. A Special Tnanks to Care Givers, Jane Lawson, Melessa Hall and Magen Bidwell. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm, Tuesday, at Bowers Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Friday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. at Lockwood Funeral home in Elkhorn, WI with visitations from 12-2pm. Interment services will be held at the Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, Delavan, WI. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Ronald McDonald House of Chattanooga.
