Linda Morel Spriggs Harmon

Linda Morel Spriggs Harmon, age 75, of Decatur, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023.

She was the daughter of the late Harold and Edna Mason Spriggs. She was a retired banker and a member of the Decatur United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years: Clyde M. Harmon.

She is survived by a son: Rusty Harmon and his wife Aimee of Knoxville; two grandsons: Bryce and Grant; nieces and nephews: Brenda Harmon, Milburn Harmon, and his wife Marilyn all of Decatur, Dee Harris and wife Daphney of Prosper, TX, Donna Scott and husband David of Cleveland; other grand-nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Decatur United Methodist Church with Rev. Joseph W. Manis, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery with Dennis Shaver, Milburn Harmon, Craig Thompson, Carey Thompson, Eddie Walden, and David Scott serving as pallbearers.

Family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m., prior to the service.
