Linda Martin

Heaven gained an angel on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, when Linda Lou Petitt Crisp Bryan Martin, 77, of Decatur, departed this life following a lengthy illness. Linda was a faithful member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. She loved animals, little children, quilts, and flowers. Though having suffered several extreme heartaches, Linda retained optimism and grace throughout her life.

Linda was preceded in death by three husbands, Willie Crisp, Lloyd Bryan, and Dwight Martin; her sons, Kent Crisp and Randy Crisp; her parents, Floyd and Maggie Sneed Petitt; brothers Junior and W. T. Petitt; and sisters Dorothy Jennings, Crissie Bennett, and Eva Sue Petitt.

She is survived by two grandsons, Dylan Crisp and Brandon Crisp; granddaughter Bridget Crisp Roberts; great-granddaughter, Savannah Roberts; two daughters-in-law, Shelia Crisp and Pat Crisp; and three sisters, Laura Lee Scott, Parma Messer, and Wanda Bell.

Special appreciation is extended to two exceptional caregivers, Beverly Miller and Dorothy Green, as well as a host of family and friends who helped with her care.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Barber, Rev. Andrew Lay, and Rev. Hugh Bryan officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 24, 2016, from 5 to 8.

Interment will be Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Beta Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dylan Crisp, Brandon Crisp, Bill Crisp, Larry Kyker, Wayne Scott, and Larry Scott.
