Lillie Belle Woods, 90, of Georgetown, TN passed away June 6, 20018 at her residence in Austell, GA. She was born in Fort Valley, GA. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
She was a teachers aide at Eastview School. She retired from Cleveland State Community College in 1990. Lillie worked hard to care for her family. Lillie enjoyed reading the Bible and always encouraged her children to read the Bible. She also enjoyed fishing, flowers and her dog Fluff. Her greatest joy was after an extensive study of the Bible when she symbolized her dedication to Jehovah God by water baptism and followed the footsteps of Jesus Christ on September 15, 1983.
Lillie was a loving, caring, attentive mother, Nanny, friend and neighbor. She was also known as a great cook, all especially enjoyed her biscuits.
Lillie is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Leonard A. Woods, sr, Three children, Leonard A. Woods,Jr., Leonard Lee Woods and Marvin Taft Woods; Two sisters Johnnie Mae Wynn, and Gladys Lanley; and grandchildren Spencer Woods, Roselyn Runyons, Eugene Spencer Runyons.
She is survived by four daughters, Jacqueline Woods, Sandra Westfield, Sylvia Woods and Shirley Runyons; four sons, Floyd Woods, Don Woods, Lowell Woods, Milton Woods(Francene), and Marvin Woods; a brother Buford Jones; and several loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. As well as a host of loving relatives and dear friends.
The family will receive friends at Bowers Funeral Home in Decatur, Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 10am to12pm. The Memorial Discourse will follow at 1pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 110 Decatur Cir., Decatur, TN 37322.
Revelation 21:4 " And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away"
