Lena Sneed Farmer

Lena Sneed Farmer, age 84, of Decatur, TN went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at her residence. She was a Charter Member of the Five Point Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Boyd Sneed, and Jack Farmer; a son Bill Sneed; a son-in-law Hubert Walden; two sisters, Gerald Dean Childs and Lura Ricker; her parents Sam and Tilda Lamb. . She is survived by two sons and three daughter-in-laws, David and Donna Sneed, Donnie and Virginia Sneed, and Susie Sneed all of Decatur, TN; three daughters and two son-in-laws, Maudell Walden, Sue and RE Gennoe all of Decatur, TN, Faye and Jimmy Dunn of Athens, TN; 13 grandchildren, Chris Walden, Lisa Harmon, Annette Sneed, Travis Sneed, Tabitha Lowe, Randy Gennoe, Adam Gennoe, Joshua Sneed, Carla Abou Zeid, Kristen Bohannon, Kim Dunn, Sheila Wilke and Kelsey Dunn; 20 Great Grandchildren; 4 Great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Lonzo Lamb of Athens, TN, Lester Bessie Lamb of Decatur, TN, and Jerry Lamb of Niota, TN; four sisters, Hazel Lindsey of Sweetwater, TN, Betty Welch of Decatur, TN, Ann Casteel of Etowah, TN and Ruth Dawson of Athens, TN; The family would like to also recognize Robert and Joyce Ricker and Family; many nieces, nephews, and a host of close friends and Church Family. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the Five Point Baptist Church with Rev. Stan Cantrell and Rev. Ralph Swafford officiating. She will lie in state from 1 - 2 p.m. at the Church. . The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Friday, February 4, 2011 at the funeral home.
