Laura Joann Hubbard

Laura JoAnn Hubbard, 79, of Decatur, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 28th, 2017 at Life Care Center of Athens, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Richard and Gladys Newman, husband; J. C. Hubbard, brothers; Wayne Newman, Dan Allen, sister; Margie Perice.

Survivors include sons; Jimmy Hubbard (Becky) of Athens, Allen Hubbard (Helen) of Decatur, daughter; Sherry Duncan (Frank) of Athens, sister; Peggy Womack of Decatur, 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, special niece Renee Bryant, very special friend Katherine Shaver, and many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 8:00 P.M in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Guffey officiating.

Pallbearers will be Scottie Cox, Keith McMinn, Chad Slack, Craig Needham, Paul Kegg, Daniel Hawk. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Hubbard, Derrick Hubbard, Justin Cox, A. J. McMinn.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Bowers Funeral Home in Decatur, TN.

Interment will be Sunday, July 2, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Beta Cemetery.
