Kelly Renee Finnell Taylor, age 45, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021. She was a member of Goodfield United Methodist Church. She served as Emergency Communications Director for Meigs County, where she had been employed for 27 years. She is survived by her husband: Chris “Chunkey” Taylor, of Decatur, her parents: Tony and Sharon Finnell, of Decatur, very proud mother of son: Dylan and Caitlyn Taylor, of Georgetown, TN, daughters: Hannah Bredwell, of Decatur, Aubey Bredwell, of Decatur, brothers: Josh Finnell & Paige, of Decatur, Jason Finnell & Jessyka, of Decatur, sisters: Amanda King & Rocky, of Decatur, Starr Millard, of Birchwood, was “Nan” to several nieces, nephews and other extended family and a host of friends. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Hugh Bryan and Rev. David Moore officiating. The Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 prior to the service. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Goodfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in the name of Kelly Finnell Taylor to Meigs County Relay for Life (American Cancer Society, Meigs County Division, 2000 Charlotte Ave. Nashville, TN 37203). Due to Covid 19 regulations we ask that you bring and wear your mask during the service and practice social distancing.
