Kathy Louise Womack

September 21, 1954 — March 4, 2025

Kathy Louise McKenzie Womack, age 70, native of Meigs County, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

Kathy was a graduate of Meigs County High School. Kathy was an avid reader and collector of literature. She enjoyed cooking and was a master of the art. She would spend a week preparing for a family feast. She was a fan of fast cars, good movies, a lover of music, and dancing. She was a beautiful woman, body and soul. She treated people with a sense of grace and elegance many could not grasp.

Kathy always held great pride in family and friendships. She carried herself with a great presence. She was a woman of great passion, a fighter in every sense of the word.

Kathy loved the Lord Jesus and accepted him as her Savior. She embraced simple things such as a child’s laughter or a warm smile until her last moments in this life. She will be missed here on earth but awaited a Heavenly Jubilee.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Weaver and Rose Lee Holland McKenzie. daughter: Brandy Nicole McHone; siblings: James Robert McKenzie, Janice Lyke; Granny Holland; uncle: Bill, J.R and Lawrence Holland; aunt: Violet Jackson and Joe Smith; special friends: Opal Proffit and Shy Green.

She leaves behind her sons, Brandon (Crystal) Shelton, Chad (Megan) Dawson; 17 grandchildren, one great grandchild; 10 nephews and nieces, and many cousins; siblings, Linda Hutsell, David McKenzie.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all who showed love and support to their beloved mother.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, per Kathy’s request.
