Joyce "Jane" Powell

Joyce "Jane" Huff Powell, age 78, of Ten Mile, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016, at her residence.

She was a daughter of the late Hubert and Bonnie Harrison Huff and was preceded in death by her husband Joe T. Powell, a sister Wilma Ballew, and a niece Connye Davis.

Mrs. Powell was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Ten Mile.

She is survived by her sister Bernice Woody of Ten Mile; her brother and sister-in-law Jim and Malinee Huff of Athens; nephew Chris Ballew and his wife Janice of Athens; niece Sandy Moses and her husband Tim of Decatur; special great nieces Kim Waldrop, Chloe Waldrop, and Zoe Womac; and several other nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ten Mile Cemetery at Twin Eagles Farm in Ten Mile, TN with the Rev. Curtis Porter officiating. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.

There will be no formal visitation.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Ten Mile Cemetery Fund c/o Wanda Bryant, 3098 Lower River Road, Decatur, TN 37322 or the charity of your choice.
