Joshua "Josh" Ray Shell

Joshua “Josh” Ray Shell, age 42, came earthside on May 22, 1980 and departed this world on August 14, 2022 to be with our heavenly father. Josh leaves behind his grieving mother and father: Debbie and Jerry England of Decatur, TN, daughters: Joshlyn Shell (Kaleb Eschette) of Athens, TN, Jalyn Shell and (Sean Blaylock) of Englewood, TN, Jonica Shell of Decatur, TN, sister: Aime England (John) Briegel of Knoxville, TN, brother: Lance (Marsha) England of Ten Mile, TN, several beloved nieces, one nephew, many aunts and uncles, and numerous loving family members and friends. Josh enjoyed spending time with his family, working outdoors, fishing, drawing, and landscaping. As God commands us in 2 Corinthians 9:7, Josh was a cheerful giver and had a servant’s heart; a kind friend to all. Josh will be deeply missed here on earth, but there is hope to be found knowing that he is now with our Lord and savior, completely restored and healed. Josh’s sweet memory will forever live in our hearts until we are all reunited in the kingdom of heaven. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
