Jonell Welch

Jonell Welch, 78, of Ten Mile passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017 at the Roane Medical Center.

She was a daughter of the late James and Verna Coleman Britt. She was retired from Shaw Industries and attended the Watts Bar Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Ray McPherson, a daughter, Sidra Brown, and a brother, David Britt.

Survivors include three daughters; Bonita Sanders of Athens, Beverly Mullis of Dalton, GA, and Bobbie Flatt of Athens, two sisters; Frances Walker of Nashville, and Ailene Brown of Ringgold, GA, and three brothers; James Britt, Jr. of Florida, Deforest "Duke" Little of Nashville, and William Edwins of Ten Mile. Nine Grandchildren, twelve Great-Grandchildren, five Great,Great- Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family and friends also survive.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 7 pm in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with the Reverend Connie Goins officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 5 till 7p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home, Inc, Decatur Chapel.
