Johnny Walter Laymon

Johnny Walter Laymon, age 59, of Dunlap and Decatur, Tennessee, passed away on August 7, 2026.

Johnny was born on March 12, 1967, to the late James "Jim" Laymon and Carolyn Rebecca Johnson. He will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him for his kind heart, wonderful sense of humor, and the special way he brought laughter into the lives of others.

Johnny loved spending time with his family and treasured the moments they shared together. Some of his favorite times were family cookouts, surrounded by the people he loved most.

Johnny was preceded in death by his father, James "Jim" Laymon; his mother, Carolyn Rebecca Johnson; his grandmother, Ella-Mae Johnson; and his grandfather, Billy Walter Johnson.

Johnny leaves behind his loving girlfriend, Sharon Blackwell.

He is also survived by his siblings, Crystal (John) Turner-Baggett and Micheal (Teresa) Turner; his aunts, Linda Sullivan, Judy Ann Sullivan (Larry), Deborah Hawk, and Janice Harvey (Larry ) , Delores Morgan. his nieces and nephews, Bre Hartman (Matthew), Erica Carter (Lawande), Robert Beene (Avionne), Braxton Turner, Keila Turner, Kira Turner, and Jayden Turner; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, and other beloved family members.

Johnny will also be lovingly remembered by his family friends, Virginia Dale, Rocky Snyder, Ricky Ewton, along with many other friends whose lives he touched.

A Scripture of Comfort; Psalm 23:4 (KJV), "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."

Johnny's life may have ended, but the love he gave and the memories he created will never be forgotten. His laughter, his sense of humor, his love for family, and all the little moments that made him who he was will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Though we cannot see him, we will carry him with us-in our memories, in our stories, and in the love we share as a family.

Rest peacefully, Johnny. You will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
