Johnny Cecil King, age 88, of Riceville, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024. He was a son of the late Charlie and Opal Sneed King. He was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed playing his guitar, working puzzles, and singing. He was a United States Army Veteran. He is preceded in death by his wife: Mary Sue King; daughter: Kathy Sue Lamb; sons: Johnny Richard King, Calvin Ray King; daughter-in-law: Sandy King; brother: H.V. King. He is survived by his children: Diane Desgranges, Andy King; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother: Bobby King; sister: Arvedah Henry; daughter-in-law: Karen King, Sheila King; son-in-law: Jackie Lamb; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024, in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Gary King and the Rev. Gary Rolen officiating. Interment will follow in the Meigs County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.– 1 p.m., prior to the service. Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services is honored to serve the King Family.
