John Daniel Womac

John "J.D." Daniel Womac, age 86, of Decatur, TN went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at his residence. He was a Baptist and attended Shiloh Baptist Church. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran serving in World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Ruby Howard Womac; parents, John and Fannie Wilson Womac; 2 brothers, Oscar and Willard Womac; 3 sisters, Ollie, Ida and Suda Swafford. He is survived by one sister-in-law Bertha Womac of Calhoun, TN; several nieces and nephews; and a host of good friends. Funeral Service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Friday, February 25, 2011 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Lewis officiating. Interment will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 26, 2011 in the Clear Springs Cemetery on County Road 100, McMinn County. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7:30 p.m., Friday, February 25, 2011 at the funeral home.
