John Paris Mchone, Sr.

John "Butch" P. McHone, Sr., age 63, of Decatur, TN, died on Saturday, February 26, 2011, in the Parkwest Medical Center. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle. He was employee of the Wal-Mart Store, Athens, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Ike and Ruby (Meadows) McHone. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Joan (Jackson) McHone of Decatur, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Angela (McHone) and Chuck Melhorn of Decatur, TN; son and daughter-in-law, John P. McHone, Jr. and Jennifer (Weaver) McHone, of Decatur, TN; one brother and sister-in-law, Graling and Brenda (Finney) McHone of Decatur, TN; three Special granddaughters whom he loved dearly, Brooke and Kinslee Melhorn and Lexus McHone, all of Decatur, TN; two nephews, Todd and Andy McHone; a cousin, who he considered as a brother, Junior Meadows of Ten Mile, TN; two sister-in-laws, Janice Goins and husband Delmar, of Athens, TN, Carolyn Stephens and husband Wayne, of Athens, TN; one brother-in-law, Roy E. (Butch) Jackson and wife Phyllis, of Athens, TN; several Aunts, Cousins, Nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m., Monday, February 28, 2011 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Jackson officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2011 in Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Decatur, TN. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m., Monday, February 28, 2011 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be: Sammy Norton, Wayne Stephens, Butch Jackson, Bobby Dennis, William Bidwell and Kevin Walden. Honorary Pallbearers: Junior Meadows and Delmar Goins.
