John Wesley Howard

John "Bud" Howard, 83, of Georgetown, passed away Thursday, Sept. 29,2016 at Health Center at Standifer Place in Chattanooga, TN.

He was of the Baptist faith.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Floyd and Cecil (Stokes) Howard ; brothers. Ronny Howard, Junior Howard, Ira Howard; sisters, Rose Scroggins, Elizabeth "Tip" Long, Edna Shaver, Lizie Couey, Willie Womack.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Tim Book, of Georgetown; son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Cathy Talton, of Georgetown; brothers, James "Bo" Howard, of Chattanooga, Roscoe Howard, of Cleveland, Donnie Howard, of Cleveland, Jesse Ray Howard, of Birchwood, Franklin "Pete" Howard, of Big Springs; sister, Christine Thompson, of Georgetown; 8 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held Saturday Oct. 1 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with Rev. David Evans officiating with burial to follow in Beta Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 8 pm, Friday Sept. 30.
