John Eddie Kennedy

John Eddie Kennedy, 63, of Decatur passed away Aug. 10, 2019. He was born in Athens, TN on Feb 25, 1956 to the late Clarence and Betsy Kennedy. He was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator his whole life.

He was also preceded in death by sisters Bonnie Ricker, Martha Patterson and Becky Chandler; brothers Rick and Donnie Kennedy; and 1st wife Susie Kennedy.

Survivors include ex wife Linda Kennedy, of Cleveland; sons Rusty Kennedy and Dusty (Amy) Kennedy, all of Decatur; step son Charles Gee, of Cleveland; brothers Bud Kennedy, of Decatur, Doug Kennedy, of Ky; sisters Maxine Stokes, of Decatur, Mildred Borden, of Clarksville, Mary Ruth Kennedy, of Athens and Pat Kennedy, of Decatur; several grandkids including Austin and Sierra Kennedy, Jax Roberts and Khiya Conner; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wed. Aug. 14 from 5-8 pm. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 PM with burial to followin Clear Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers are Wayne Borden, Ricky Kennedy, Mark Patterson, Johnny Patterson, Jacob Rimmel ad Landon Gentry.
