Joe Authur Padgett, Jr.

Joe A. (Hunkey) Padgett, Jr., 62, of Sevierville, TN, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Sep. 3, 2012, in the Leconte Medical Center. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe A. and Mary (Underwood) Padgett, Sr.; brothers, Bobby, Floyd and James Richard Padgett. Survivors include: his wife Margaret Diane (Wolfenbarger) Padgett of Sevierville, TN; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Joe Arthur Padgett, III and April of McMinnville, TN, James and Maria Padgett of Sevierville, TN; one daughter, Corinna Ann Padgett of McMinnville, TN; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Rosita Asbury of Rutledge, TN, Joann and Don Robertson of Sevierville, TN, Wanda Rutledge of Rutlidge, TN; 7 grandchildren, Dustin Padgett, Ginger Padgett, Tiffany Padgett, Talina Padgett, Phillip Padgett, Jasmine Padgett, Jadon Padgett; and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sep. 6, in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bryant Padgett officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm, Wednesday, Sep. 5, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mtn. View Memorial Gardens cemetery.
