Jo Ann Walker

Jo Ann Walker, 53, of Rainsville, Alabama, died Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015 at Erlanger Medical Center of Chattanooga after a brief illness. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Thurman Walker; grandmother, Lucille Scroggins; step fathers, Walter Brown and Patrick Kleman; sister Angela; infant brothers Joseph Thurman Walker 2nd and Daniel Walker; grandson, William Mikha Manning. Survivors include her mother, Carolyn Brown, of Alabama; son Franklin Manning (Shelly Strong), of Etowah; daughters, Shacota Carouthers (Dean Roberts), of Ten Mile and Carolyn Marie (Chris) Broome, of Athens; brothers, Terry (Sandra K.) Walker, of Decatur and Joseph Thurman (Sam) Walker 3rd, of Detroit, Mi.; sisters, Laura Walker, of Naples, Fl. And Roxanne Walker, of Ohio; ex husband, Mike Manning, of Alabama; grandchildren, Tommy Carouthers, Courtney Carouthers, Dillon Carouthers, Austin Manning, Chyanne Broome and Alex Broome; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm of Friday, Aug. 21 in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Scroggins officiating. Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery. the family will receive friends Thursday from 5-8 at the funeral home.
