Jerry Ray Lewis, age 80, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
He was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church and a 48-year Meigs Lodge #213 F.& A.M. He was a son of the late Charles and Pauline Friddell Lewis. He enjoyed working on the farm and babysitting his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Linda Lewis; granddaughter: Brittney Kyker.
Survivors include his sons: Tony Lewis (Missy) of Decatur, Keith (Sheila) Lewis of Decatur, daughter: Tracy Hightower (Jamie) of Chattanooga, grandchildren: Megan Ballew (Hunter), Ginger Kyker, Hayden Lewis, Bentley Lewis, Josh Hightower (Allison), Jessica Hightower, great grandchildren: Zaelem, Zev, Stormi, Mason, Kaylen, several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
A Masonic Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Funeral following with the Rev. Mike King and the Rev. Tommy Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in the Beta Cemetery.
The Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 on Friday, February 14, 2025, in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Pallbearers will be Ty Coffelt, Steve Beaty, Lonny Elder, Ritchie Bennett, Joe Holden, Jeff Charles. Honorary Pallbearers will be Byron Ziegler and Billy Skinner.
