Jerry Carson Lankford
February 28, 1947 — February 25, 2019
Jerry C. Lankford, 71, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 at the Life Care Center of Lawrenceville, Georgia following an extended illness. He was born in Athens, TN but was a life-long resident of Ten Mile, a place he always called home. He was an over-the-road truck driver who loved to travel and have fun.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruth Lankford; and a brother, Bobby Lankford.
Survivors include a son, Kaleb Lankford of Kannapolis, NC; a daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Stephen Gilstrap of Cartersville, GA; a brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Diane Lankford of Lilburn, GA; a sister-in-law, Nellie Lankford of Snellville, GA; and three grandchildren, Audrey, Harper and Carson.
The family will receive friends at Bowers Funeral Home from 11am to 1pm on Friday, March 1, 2019. Funeral services be at 1pm with Jim Ed Lankford officiating. Burial will follow in Baldwin Ragland Cemetery in Ten Mile.
