Jerry Eugene King, Sr.

Jerry Eugene King, Sr., 76 of Decatur, died Sunday, January 22, 2017.

He was a son of the late William and Mildred King and was of the Baptist Faith. He was member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 43 out of Chattanooga, where he served as Business Manager for several years. He had also served as Regional Manager for the United Association of Steamfitters in Charleston, SC.

He is proceeded in death by his wife Joyce King.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Clark of Decatur and Sons: Jerry "Gene" King, Jr. and his wife, Lisa of Decatur, and Greg King of East Ridge; Brothers: Bill King of Georgetown and Richard King and his wife, Pat of Decatur; Grandchildren: Jerry King III, Mitchell King, and Tim King; Great Grandchildren: Tyler King, Skyla King, Taven King, and Eden King; and Special Friends Pete & Jeanette Arp and Skip and Janice Arp. Several Nieces and Nephews and extended family and friends also survive.

Services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with Dr. Jimmy McCarter and David Tolley officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 26, 2017, from 4 until 7 p.m., at Bowers Funeral Home.

Burial will take place at 11a.m., Friday, January 27, 2017 in the Decatur Cemetery.
