Jearl Dean Burgess

Jearl Dean Burgess, 77, of Decatur, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Dec.. 10, 2014 at Life Care Center of Athens. She was a member of Bethsadie Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Onnie T. and Dora J. (Sewell) Burgess. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Charles R. Burgess of Decatur; one son Terry M. Burgess of Decatur; one daughter, Pamela Bates of Decatur; one sister, Lorita J. Gregory of Clark Range, TN; 3 grandchildren, Nick Trueblood, Charles Bates and James Bates; several nieces and nephews; and a host of good church friends. Graveside service will be after 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 in Shiloh Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Sorah officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Nick Trueblood, Charles Bates, James Bates, Jack Gregory, Sean Burgess and Jason Burgess. In lieu of flowers make donations to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, P.O.
