Jannie Thurman Wilson

Jannie (Thurman) Wilson, age 88, of Decatur, TN went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at her daughters home in Decatur. She was a member of the Union Grove Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved the Lord with all her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lon and Dolly (Howard) Thurman, husband Ernest (Son) Wilson; son Ernest Franklin "Buddy" Wilson; daughter, Marie Wilson; three brothers, Wesley Thurman, Robert Thurman, Lige Thurman; sisters, Irene (Thurman) Bates and Ossie Thurman; Granddaughter Sheila Cranfield. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jessie J. and Julia (Judy) Wilson of Decatur, TN; two daughters and one son-in-law, Hazel Bailey, Sue and Scott Bowman, all of Decatur, TN; two brothers and sister-in-laws, J. W. and Joey Thurman, William and Lois Thurman, all of Athens, TN; one sister, Betty Brogden of Decatur, TN; nine grandchildren, Eddie King, Angelia Underwood, Keith Wilson, Shane Crisp, Kim Godsey, Mark Wilson, Steven Wilson, Tina Foster, Gina Herrell twelve great grandchildren, Jessie King, Daniel Goode, Nathan Goode, Brittany Goode, Dillon Crisp, Hayley Godsey, Miranda Godsey, English Cranfield, Blake Cranfield, Preston Foster, Madison Herrell, Blake Herrell; two great-great grandchildren, Lillie Goode and Briar Roberts. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, October 3, 2010 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Lewis officiating. Interment will be in the Decatur Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be: Keith Wilson, Mark Wilson, Scott Bowman, Shane Crisp, Shane Godsey, Dillon Crisp.
