Janie Lou Bennett Stiner

Janie Lou Bennett Stiner, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. Janie was a member of the Idlewild Church of Christ. She served as secretary at Cedar Valley Elementary School for 15 years, and as Meigs County Register of Deeds for 24 years. She was preceded in death by her father: J.L. Bennett and an infant sister. Janie leaves behind her mother: Elisabeth Bennett, husband of 48 years: Johnny Stiner, daughters: Tabitha Stiner, Felicia Lane (Mark), grandchildren: Madison Stiner Carden (Kyle), Lani Greene, Avery and Ethan Lane, sisters: Betty Bennett Davis, Mary Bennett Jiles, several nieces, nephews, and other extended family, and a host of friends. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 1 p.m. in the Beta Cemetery with Brother Larry Paden and Reverend Jamey Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
