James Wright

James Franklin "Frank" Wright, age 79 passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones on September 10, 2025.

Frank, known by all who knew him was born November 14, 1945, and was a member of Cottonport Baptist church. He was a carpenter for much of his life building homes in the Meigs County area.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Miller Wright. His parents Charles "Jock" and Mary Belle (Holland) Wright. One sister, Billie Cox and two brothers, Charles "Buddy" Wright and Terry Lynn (Rerun) Wright.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, one son and daughter-in-law, Stacy and Jennifer Wright of Riceville. One sister, Elizabeth Correll of Athens. One brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Shirley Wright of Decatur. Two grandchildren and their spouses, Madalyn and Brice Beech of Athens, Noah and Layken Vincent of Riceville, and one great granddaughter, Lettie Mae Vincent. A host of special friends whom he shared many times and memories with.

A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, September 12, 2025 in the Cottonport Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Rymer and Bro. Darrell Davis officiating. Pallbearers will include Mark Branham, Jody Akins, Craig Benton, Matt Lankford, Noah Vincent, and Brice Beech.
