James Harvey Sewell

James Harvey Sewell, age 85, of Chattanooga, TN, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at his residence. He was a member of the Greenwood Baptist Church in Ooltewah, TN. He retired from Combustion Engineer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joshua and Ella (Goforth) Sewell; brothers Ray Sewell, Jess Sewell, Reid Sewell, Grant Sewell; sisters Emma Howard, Essie Howard, Mae Nance, Dora Nance. Survivors include his wife Artie Sue (Wilson) Sewell of Chattanooga, TN; one son James Steven "Steve" Sewell of Chattanooga, TN; two grandchildren, Alexander "Alex" K. Sewell and Joshua J. Sewell. Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m., Thursday April 14, 2011 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Lewis officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2011 in the Short Creek Cemetery, Athens, TN. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2011 at the funeral home.
