James Burgin Mchone

James B. (J.B.) McHone, age 76, of Decatur, TN, went to be with the Lord Thursday, July 8, 2010 at the Memorial Health Care System. He was the oldest of fourteen children. He was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Carrie (Powers) McHone; sister, Nella Broadwell; brothers, Clarence McHone and Ralph McHone. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rose Mae (Snyder) McHone of Decatur, TN; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Jim McHone of Delano, TN, Dale McHone of Decatur, TN, Ricky and Becky McHone of Decatur, TN; two daughters and son-in-laws, Linda and Roy Grayson, Sr., of Delano, TN, Sherry and Jerry Dunnahoo of Decatur, TN; six brothers and four sister-in-laws, Rex (Button) and Lois McHone, Tommy McHone, Aaron and Vicky McHone, Jerry (Dean) and Brenda McHone, all of Decatur, TN, Daws (Fats) and Pat McHone of Athens, TN, Gene McHone of Decatur, TN; four sisters and brother-in-laws, Shirley and Donald Trew, Barbara and Clifford Bales, Sandra and Kenny Letner, all of Decatur, TN, Pat and Wendall Jerles of Riceville, TN; 13 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., on Sunday July 11, 2010 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Herman Jordan officiating . Interment will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the funeral home.
