James Dennis Jiles

James Dennis Jiles, 66, of Decatur has gone to rest in Jesus on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Dennis was a member of Meigs County Church of Christ. He was the son of the late James Claude Jiles and Pocahontas Powers Jiles. He is survived by his wife Mary Jiles of Decatur; daughters, Andrea (Luke) Cartwright and Amber (Wesley) Meadows, both from Decatur; Three sisters, Claudette Fisher of Ten Mile, Marie Underwood of Decatur, Norma Powers of Ten Mile; Mother-in-Law, Elizabeth Bennett of Decatur. Seven grandchildren, Halie, Hannah, Isabel, Sierra, Tamara, Liberty and Savannah, by whom he was lovingly known as Papa; Special friends, Janie and Johnny Stiner, Betty and Freddy Davis all from Decatur. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10am-12 pm at Bowers Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 12 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers Jamey Davis and Orvil Tinsley officiating. Interment will be in Reed-Butler Cemetery in Ten Mile. Pallbearers are Johnny Stiner, Freddy Davis, Danny Tinsley, Marvin Lewis, Jamey Davis and Aaron Fitch.
