James Edwin "Smiley" Davis

James Edwin “Smiley” “Dean” Davis, age 66, of Decatur, TN, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022. He was of the Baptist faith. "Smiley" enjoyed landscaping and pitching horseshoes. He was an avid Chevy fan and enjoyed watching Nascar and football. He dearly loved his dog: Cooper. He is preceded in death by his parents: Condon and Leota Miller Davis, sisters: Joann Davis, nephew: James Keith Lindsey. He is survived by his sister: Mary Carolyn Davis Lindsey, nieces: Connie L. Hinch, Sheila Lindsey, great nieces: Chelsie (Lester III) Cole, Mattie (Gabe) Scarbrough, and great-great niece: Rula Cole. A Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022, at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Earl Graves officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. The family will receive from 1-3 p.m. EST, prior to the service. Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services is honored to serve the family of James Davis.
