Jake Kile

Jake Kile Jr., 63, of Decatur went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 7, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Jake Kile and Nora Mae Wright, sisters Fleta Kile Caldwell and Margaret Kile Branham, and son Scott Kile. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Leavon Kile, sons Scotty Wiggins, Chris and Cassie Kile, and Steven Smith, all of Decatur; and daughters Crystal and Zach Hester of Athens. Grandchildren are Tyler Kile of Texas, Beth Kile of Louisiana, Macy Wiggins, Chasity Wiggins, and Eli Wiggins of Englewood, Peyton Duckett and Braxton Hester of Athens, And Jacob Kile, Ryan Kile, Rylee Kile, Lane Smith, Keegan Smith, and Truett Smith. Surviving brothers and sisters are Doc and Betty Kile and Dale Kile of Chattanooga, Polly and Teddy Layman, Sue and Slim Newman, Charlie Kile, and Phyllis Price of Decatur: also several nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Bowers Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10AM on Saturday, August 11, 2018 with Pastors David Lathan and Jamey Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in Decatur.

The family has requested the following men to serve as Pall Bearers; his nephews, Teddy Layman III, Rodney Layman, Doug Price, Eric Kile, Mark Branham; and special friend, Terry Brown. Calvin Kile and Russell Caldwell will serve as honorary pall bearers.
