Heinz E. Appelt, age 57, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at his parents’ home after a long illness. He is survived by his parents; Otto and Bonnie Appelt of Decatur, brother; Otto K. Appelt, four daughters, two sons, and 12 grandchildren. There will be no services at this time. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Please respect the privacy of the family. Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services is honored to serve the Appelt family.
